About

Hi, I’m Teresa Jones. I grew up in a small lakeside town in Minnesota, where I was always drawn to the idea of turning a space whether a tiny cabin, a city studio, or a backyard shed into somewhere people could pause, refresh, and thrive. After earning my bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the University of Minnesota, I spent six years working for a boutique remodeling firm in Minneapolis.

My job involved everything from helping clients transform sun-porches into restful reading nooks, to designing multipurpose guest rooms for families navigating work-from-home life. I loved that the work was part practical, part imaginative it was about gear and glue, but also about atmosphere and feeling.

The Next Chapter

A few years ago I relocated with my husband and our golden-retriever, Luna, to a little coastal community in Oregon. Being close to the ocean brought a different rhythm foggy mornings, tide-pool walks, and long evenings with the scent of salt in the air.

I still sketch layouts and choose color palettes for small remodeling projects, but I also found myself obsessing over which tools, gadgets, furnishings, and everyday gear actually made life easier, more comfortable, or just more fun in these changing-spaces of ours. I realized the story of “day space/night space” that fluid shift from active daylight hours to restful evening time in our environments was something I’d always loved, in different forms.

Why the Blog

In early 2025 I began writing this blog at dayspacenight.com to share honest feedback on the products I use in my home, studio, work zone and leisure corners. My goal is to be as straightforward and real as possible: I test gear, furnishings or home-lifestyle items in my own daily routines (from sunup with coffee to wind-down at twilight). When I recommend something, I’ve lived with it, tweaked it, and asked myself: Does it hold up? Does it earn its place? Does it make the space better in real life? Through the affiliate links you’ll find here, I’m simply supporting the blog’s upkeep but I keep the reviews independent, because I believe trust is everything.

What You’ll Find Here

On the blog you’ll discover product reviews, buying advice, and real-world usage tips for things like home organization systems, lighting for mixed-use rooms, ergonomic work-from-home gear, small-space furnishings, and sometimes the little extras that make evenings feel cozy and purposeful. I carry forward my interior-design sensibility into every review: size, scale, lighting, texture, and use-case all matter. But beyond aesthetics, I care about reliability, sustainability, ease of setup and how a product performs week after week.

A Personal Note

When I’m not testing something for the blog, you’ll likely find me at the shoreline watching the tide roll in, reading a paperback in Luna’s favorite window seat, or sketching ideas for a friend’s backyard studio conversion. I believe our surroundings shape our mindset day space and night space are really one loop of living, and the gear we choose should feel like part of the rhythm, not separate from it. I’m excited to share my findings with you, and I hope you’ll feel right at home here.

Thank you for stopping by. If you ever want to ask a question, send an email, or suggest something for me to test, I’d love to hear from you.

Warmly,
Teresa Jones
